Outdoor UK can organise and manage every element of any expedition you may be considering.

School Challenges are designed to give students the opportunity to develop and plan, over a year-long period, their own expedition to an overseas destination. The young people are involved at every stage of the planning including writing there own itinerary, choosing a cultural project and deciding what areas of the host country they wish to experience.

These expeditions benefit the young people by:
• Promoting personal development and leadership in every participant
• Requiring good team work and peer support throughout both the planning and expedition phases
• Developing self-confidence and personal responsibility
• Learning about a new and different culture

How will we support you during the expedition build up?
• Provide you with a dedicated contact within our office
• Introduce you to your expedition leader at the planning phase, so that they will work alongside you at every stage including team training
• Provide you with fund raising ideas to allow the young people to develop money management skills

How will we support you during your expedition?
• Your expedition leader will be the front line support, and is employed for their personal development skills, expedition leadership experience and extensive travel knowledge
• You will be carrying an extensive first aid kit and satellite telephone allowing you 24 hour access to our on-call duty director and emergency support service
